be utterly destroyed from among the people.” (Acts 3:22-23 NAS)
If I had not been baptized for the remission of sins I would be scared by that statement for it was Jesus who said, “Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” (John 3:5 NAS) It was Jesus who said, “He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved” (Mark 16:16 NAS). It was Jesus who said to the apostles while delivering the Great Commission to “make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” (Matt. 28:19 NAS) It was Jesus that said all of that. It was Peter who quoting Moses who said if you do not heed everything he (Jesus – DS) said you shall “be utterly destroyed from among the people.” (Acts 3:23 NAS) Was Peter inspired to say that? What do you think?
